Artist Statement
As both a jewelry designer and painter, I have long been captivated by the dynamic relationship between fine art and craft. My work seeks to explore how these two mediums—often perceived as distinct—can be woven together to challenge traditional boundaries and create new forms of artistic expression. My concept is to further investigate how jewelry and painting, as intertwined modes of artistic practice, can simultaneously reflect and shape our emotional and cultural landscapes.
At the heart of my creative process lies an exploration of how bonds are formed—not only through aesthetic beauty but also through the deeper narratives and emotions that art can evoke. Jewelry, as a personal and intimate form of expression, carries with it an inherent symbolism, often tied to memory, identity, and sentiment. Similarly, painting offers a broader canvas for storytelling, inviting viewers to reflect on the complex emotions and cultural significance embedded in visual forms. By integrating these two practices, I hope to explore how each medium can amplify the other, creating works that transcend the limitations of their individual forms.
My interest lies in the intersection of these disciplines—how jewelry and painting can inform and inspire one another, and how their combined language can deepen our understanding of the connections we form with objects, with others, and with ourselves.
