How to Care for Elaine Chong Designs Jewelry

Solid gold jewelry is made to last a lifetime and can be worn daily and kept forever. However, for pieces featuring enamel accents, please keep the following jewelry care guidelines in mind.

AVOID

Please avoid household cleaners, harsh chemicals, perfume, and lotions, as these can tarnish your pieces. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, as these can damage enamel work and gemstones. If you are purchasing an item with a stone or enamel work, please wear it with extra care.

REMOVE JEWELRY

When washing hands, before swimming, and before physical activities.

CLEANING

To keep your jewelry bright and shiny, polish with a soft, lint-free cloth like cotton or microfibre. Be gentle, jewelery containing gemstones and enamel are more fragile, so please take extra care when cleaning. 

STORAGE

Safely store your jewelry in a cool dry place like our jewelry pouches or jewelry boxes. We recommend storing each item separately to avoid scratching and/or tangling. 

DAMAGE POLICY

We do not repair jewelry and if a setting is damaged, causing a stone to fall out, we cannot replace this. Settings can be damaged by; any applied pressure, hitting a hard surface inadvertently or catching and snagging on clothing.
